Ingredients

2 lbs chicken (cut into cubes)

4 tbsp soy sauce

5 clovesgarlic chopped

1 1/2 cupswater

3whole bay leaves

3 tbspcooking oil (olive oil)

1 tsppeppercorn

6 tbsp white vinegar

1 tspsugar

1/4 tspsalt

Fresh chopped scallions (optional as topping)

White rice (cooked) (optional; to eat with it)
Cooking Instructions

Combine the chicken, soy sauce and garlic in a large bowl. Let this mixture marinate the chicken for about an hour.

Then add oil to a pan, add the marinated chicken and sauté for a few minutes each side.
Then add the water, bay leaves and peppercorn. Simmer for 30 minutes. -

The chicken should get tender, then after 30 minutes, add the vinegar and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

When done, add sugar and salt, and stir. Garnish with scallions and pair with white rice and fresh veggies!
