Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag watched their home go up in flames during the Pacific Palisades fires raging in California, and they both documented the terrifying experience on social media.

On his Snapchat account, Pratt shared footage of himself evacuating as multiple wind-driven wildfires in California forced more than 30,000 people to flee their homes, followed by security camera video of his house burning down.

“I’m watching our house burn down on the security cameras,” the “Hills” star, 41, told fans in a Snapchat video taken from inside a car.

Early Wednesday, Montag, 38, shared an emotional video on Snapchat where she cried while saying she is “so sad our house is gone.”

In an earlier video taken while shopping in a grocery store, Montag confirmed “our house did burn down” but said that “we’re out safe, and that is the most important thing.” The couple shares two children together.

Stephanie Pratt, Spencer’s sister, said in an Instagram story that her dad “tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do.”

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Pratt and Montag.

“Well, this isn’t looking good,” he said as the flames approached.

In her own Snapchat clips, Montag, emotionally asked fans for prayers as she said there was a “fire right over the hill from our house, and I think we’re going to have to evacuate.”

Pratt then filmed himself packing up before evacuating the house. He later showed security camera footage of his house’s deck and nursery on fire.

In a TikTok, Pratt posted footage of the fire and wrote that his “nightmare came true.”

Los Angeles fires continue

Thousands of people were forced to evacuate as a bush fire spread Tuesday in Los Angeles, and a mandatory evacuation order was issued in Pacific Palisades. Premieres for the movies “Unstoppable” and “Wolf Man” were canceled due to the fire.

Eugene Levy told the Los Angeles Times he was forced to evacuate, and James Woods said on social media that he did “not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.”

The Screen Actors Guild also said that its planned in-person nominations announcement for the annual SAG Awards was canceled “in an abundance of caution for the safety of our presenters, guests, and staff.” Nominees will be announced Wednesday in a press release.

“In the meantime, we urge everyone to stay safe, and thank you for your continued support,” SAG said.
