Where are the Grammy this year? What to know about the venue for ‘music’s biggest night’

In less than a month, the Recording Academy will honor music’s best and brightest at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

Those in the music industry gather every year for the ceremony, celebrating excellence in the music industry across genres and the globe. This year’s Grammys will feature 94 distinct awards, ranging from the prestigious “Album of the Year” to “Best Song written for Visual Media.”

Nominations for these coveted awards and even the show host are subject to change every year, but one thing that has largely stayed the same over the years has been the Grammys venue: Crypto.com Arena.

Crypto.com, formerly known as the Staples Center, usually hosts the award ceremony, with some exceptions. In 2022, the Recording Academy held the event in Las Vegas after a surge in COVID-19 cases, and the 2018 Grammys moved to Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The famous Los Angeles venue has served as the host for major events including 2004, 2011 & 2018 NBA All-Star Weekends, the 2000 Democratic National Convention and dozens of Grammy Awards shows, among others, according to the venue’s website.

It is also the home of three professional sports teams: the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, and the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.

The awards show is set to air live on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET (5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. PT).
